Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the WallNote Android application and this WallNote website. It does not apply to third-party websites, stores, or services that have their own privacy policies.

WallNote does not provide user accounts, cloud note storage, or cloud synchronization. We do not operate a server that receives the text of your notes or your wallpaper designs.

2. Notes, designs, and images you create

The following content is created, stored, and processed locally on your device:

• Note text, reminder text, lists, and titles.
• Wallpaper layouts, font choices, colors, effects, and template customizations.
• Images or photos that you explicitly select for use in a design.
• Saved wallpaper cards, rotation settings, and exported wallpaper images.

Selected images may be copied into WallNote's private app storage so that your wallpaper design continues to work. WallNote does not intentionally upload this content to our servers or include it in analytics or advertising events.

If you export an image or apply a wallpaper, Android stores or applies the resulting image according to your action and device settings.

3. Device access and permissions

• Set wallpaper: used only when you ask WallNote to apply a design as your home screen, lock screen, or both.
• Selected photos and images: WallNote uses the Android system picker. The app receives access only to media you choose.
• Internet access: used by Firebase services and, when enabled, Google Mobile Ads.
• Background work: Android may run scheduled local work to rotate wallpapers when you enable rotation.

You can control available permissions and app data through Android Settings. Some features may not work if required access is unavailable.

4. Firebase Analytics

WallNote uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general app usage and improve the product. This may process information such as:

• App version, device type, operating system version, language, and general region.
• App sessions and broad feature interactions, such as opening a template or completing a wallpaper action.
• Firebase or app-instance identifiers and similar technical information used to distinguish app installations.

Our custom analytics events are designed not to contain your note text, imported photos, wallpaper images, or the visible content of your designs.

5. Firebase Crashlytics

WallNote uses Firebase Crashlytics in production builds to identify crashes and improve stability. Crash reports may include stack traces, crash timestamps, app version, device model, operating system details, memory or storage indicators, and installation identifiers.

Crashlytics is not intentionally configured to attach your note text, selected images, or rendered wallpaper content to crash reports.

6. Advertising

WallNote may display ads provided by Google AdMob. Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google's configuration, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:

• Advertising or app-instance identifiers.
• IP address and approximate location derived from it.
• Device, app, and network information.
• Ad requests, impressions, clicks, fraud-prevention signals, and measurement data.

This information may be used to deliver, limit, personalize, measure, and protect advertising, subject to available consent and privacy controls. Your WallNote note text and wallpaper images are not intentionally sent as ad targeting data.

7. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your WallNote note content or wallpaper designs. Technical, analytics, crash, and advertising information may be processed by Google as a service provider or independent controller, depending on the service and context.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or protect the rights and security of WallNote and others.

8. Data retention

Local notes, designs, settings, and copied assets remain on your device until you delete them, clear WallNote's app data, or uninstall the application. Exported wallpapers may remain in device storage after uninstallation and must be deleted using your device's file or gallery tools.

Google retains analytics, diagnostic, hosting, and advertising data according to the settings and retention periods for the applicable service. Refer to the provider links above for current details.

9. Your choices and controls

Depending on your device and region, you may be able to:

• Delete individual WallNote cards and imported assets inside the app.
• Clear all WallNote app storage or uninstall the app through Android Settings.
• Choose whether WallNote may access media through the Android system picker.
• Manage or reset your Android advertising ID and ad personalization settings.
• Use any privacy and consent choices presented by Google Mobile Ads.

For a request or privacy question that cannot be completed through these device controls, contact us using the address below. We may need enough information to understand the request, but because WallNote has no user accounts, we generally cannot identify or retrieve content stored only on your device.

10. Children's privacy

WallNote is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect note content or other personal information from children through our own servers. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by WallNote, contact us so we can review the issue.

11. Security and international processing

WallNote keeps user-created note content in local app storage and uses Android platform mechanisms for selected media and wallpaper application. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so protect your device with appropriate screen-lock and backup settings.

Google services may process technical information on servers located outside your country. Those transfers are handled under Google's applicable contractual terms, safeguards, and privacy policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when WallNote features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or store listing when appropriate.
